Everything you need, nothing you don't
Your design, your data
Use any Google Slides design. Put placeholders like {{Name}} or {{Course}} where the details go, matching your Sheet's column names.
Hundreds in minutes
One click turns every row into a PDF certificate, saved neatly in a Google Drive folder.
Emailed automatically
Each person gets their own certificate by email, with a personalised message, sent from your Gmail.
English, Hindi & Urdu
5 ready designs: English, Hindi, Urdu, English + Hindi and English + Urdu. Or use your own Google Slides design. Indian date format (DD-MM-YYYY).
Status for every row
A status column shows which certificates were made and sent. Spelled a name wrong? Correct it and resend to just that person.
Stays in your account
Your Sheet, template and certificates stay in your own Google account. We don't receive a copy.
Four steps to finished certificates

Google's daily email limits apply to every tool of this kind: about 100 emails a day from a free Gmail account and about 1,500 from Google Workspace. Certificates beyond the limit are still created, and can be emailed the next day with one click.
The one-time Google screen, in 3 clicks
Your copy runs inside your own Google account, so Google asks you once to confirm. Nothing is shared with us.
-
1. Click "Advanced"
Google shows this for every tool that runs as your own copy. It's expected.
-
2. Click "Go to … (unsafe)"
It names our tool. Google uses the word "unsafe" for every app it hasn't reviewed yet; ours is in its review.
-
3. Tick "Select all", then "Continue"
Each permission is explained below. The tool needs all of them to work, and asks again if one is unticked.
Pictures are simplified; Google's screens may look slightly different. You can remove the tool's access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
What the tool can access, and why
We request only what the tool needs. This list matches what Google shows you the first time.
Use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
| Permission | Why it's needed |
|---|---|
| The spreadsheet you open it in | To read your participant list and write each row's Status, Certificate ID and PDF link. |
| Google Slides | To read the design and fill in each person's certificate. |
| Drive: only files the tool creates | To keep the certificate folder, the PDFs and your editable copy of a design. Nothing else in your Drive. |
| Send email as you | To email each certificate from your account. It can't read your inbox. |
| Connect to an external service | Only to Google's own Drive address, to turn each certificate into a PDF. |
| Run when you're not there | To carry on with big lists, and send emails that waited for the daily limit. |
| See your email address | To send the test email to you. |
- Your files stay in your own Google account.
- No access to the rest of your Drive or to your Gmail inbox.
- We never sell or share your data, or use it for advertising or AI training.
- Revoke access anytime at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
Is the KR Unified Certificate Generator really free?
Yes. The Certificate Generator is free for normal use. If you need a customised version, for example with QR-code verification or your own email server, KR Software & Automation can build it as a paid service.
Do I need a paid Google Workspace account?
No. The Certificate Generator works with a free Gmail account. Paid Google Workspace accounts get higher daily email limits from Google.
Can certificates be in Hindi or Urdu?
Yes. There are ready designs in English, Hindi, Urdu (Naskh script) and two bilingual ones: English + Hindi and English + Urdu. Type Hindi or Urdu names in the "Name (Hindi/Urdu)" column. Your own Google Slides design can use any Google font.
I spelled a name wrong. Can I send a corrected certificate?
Yes. Correct the name in the Sheet, select that person's row, and use "Resend to selected people". Only that person gets the new certificate.
Why does Google say the app isn't verified?
Your copy of the tool runs inside your own Google account, so Google shows this screen once. Click Advanced, then "Go to KR Certificate Generator (unsafe)", then Continue. See the 3-click guide. We've applied for Google's Marketplace review; once approved, you can install it from there without this screen.
Can I use it on my phone?
Please use a computer (Chrome, Edge or Firefox). The Google Sheets phone app doesn't show the tool's menu. The certificates and emails you send can be opened on any phone.
The panel shows an error or keeps loading
This usually happens when several Google accounts are signed in in the same browser. Open your Sheet in an Incognito/Private window with just one account. Still stuck? Tell us and we'll reply by email.
Does it work with a school or company Google account?
Usually yes. Some schools and companies block tools Google hasn't reviewed yet; you'll then see a "blocked by your administrator" message. Ask your IT admin to allow it, or use a personal Gmail account until our Marketplace version is approved.
How many certificates can I create?
There is no limit on creating certificates. Emailing them is limited by Google's daily sending limits: about 100 a day from free Gmail and about 1,500 from Google Workspace.
